Revision rhinoplasty is the application of repeated rhinoplasty in people who have had one or more nose operations, as the shape of their nose is not as desired or problems such as breathing through the nose continue. Revision rhinoplasty can range from interventions in which mild irregularities and problems are eliminated with simple interventions after previous surgery, to extensive surgical procedures where complex techniques are used, requiring the reorganization of highly deformed structures resulting from bone cartilage and sometimes skin losses.

In order to have revision surgery, it is necessary to wait at least 6 months, preferably 1 year after the first surgery.

During the first operations of rhinoplasty, a certain amount of cartilage in the nose is taken and used to reshape the nose. For this reason, the cartilage material required to reshape the nose during revision surgeries may not be in the surgical field. This may require cartilage removal from the ear or rib.

The duration of the operation varies according to the shape of the nose and the procedures to be performed, it can vary between 1-6 hours.

After revision surgeries, at least 6 months -1 year is needed for the nose to regain its natural appearance. From the second rhinoplasty surgery, a natural nose shape suitable for the face can be obtained, which satisfies the patients.
